Open Water & Underwater Egress Training

The objective of this training program is to prepare crew members who fly international routes over the open waters of the world to use, the water survival equipment installed on the aircraft, in a realistic environment. The program includes Wet Ditching Procedures, AMVER System, Water Survival, Dealing with Warm/Cold Environment, Day and Night Water Exercises, Hands-On use of all Survival Equipment, Underwater Egress for Submerging Aircraft, HEED Training as Required and CPR/AED Training.

Participation

This program is open to all crew members involved in extended over water flights.  This includes: All Government Agencies, Corporate/Business Flight Departments, General Aviation, Special Projects and Marine Operations.

Student Requirements

Each participant is required to bring adequate clothing and soft shoes for water training.  Clothing should include long sleeve shirts and pants or coveralls.
